Hip-hop and popular street culture has organically inspired and produced different creative elements that we call the urban arts. The Cypher Spot team as well as many others globally have adopted the same mediums of expression in our daily lives. Some of these elements include breaking, graffiti writing, DJing, rap music, street wear, skate boarding, graphic design, videography, and more. The urban arts can bring the community at large together in a positive way, even in the toughest of neighborhoods. Our team is a result of many other faithful men and women in the past who shared and engaged the community with their creative talents and lives. They have shined a light of the gospel in an authentic way that pointed many of us to Christ. Following the lead of Jesus has kept us from the common path that includes the pitfalls of drugs, crime, jail, and disfunction that many youth in your community take in their lives. It has also empowered us to rise above our circumstances to serve Christ our savior and the community. This is the root and heart of our mission, so we desire to continue to do the same and pay it forward.
